The National K-12 Ceramics Competition and Digital Exhibition

The National K-12 Ceramics Competition and Digital Exhibition was launched in 2016 as part of an international biennial event held in Gulgong, regional NSW.

Since then, it has grown to include submissions from all states and territories across Australia. This year, the Stage 6 (Years 11 and 12) section was won by Remy Lavigne (VI), who is majoring in ceramics in his Visual Arts HSC course. Keith Brymer Jones, who is the head judge on the UK television series The Great Pottery Throwdown and patron of the UK’s National Association for Fine Art Education, was in Gulgong to select and award the prizes and described Remy’s work as “sophisticated beyond his years”.

Congratulations Remy!
