Supporting Batyr's 'one sock, one goal' and 'Buy a Bale' at rugby on Saturday 4 August

Edited from the Director of Rugby's comments in the programme for rugby fixtures on Saturday 4 August:

On behalf of the Sydney Grammar School, I welcome The Armidale School and its supporters to Weigall.

Sydney Grammar School and the wider rugby community pass on our thoughts to those families from rural areas currently affected by the drought.  As a token of support to the regions impacted, the SGS Fathers' Association will donate all takings from the BBQ today to the “Buy a Bale” drought relief fund.

Further to this, the annual Batyr 'one sock, one goal' initiative is being acknowledged. Today all boys in Rugby will be “pulling up” a Batyr Sock in an effort to support Batyr in increasing the awareness of youth mental health.  Batyr run programmes for pupils at both Sydney Grammar School and The Armidale School.

Good luck to all boys participating in rugby today.  Sport is a wonderful tool to strengthen community....
