2019 was an exceptionally successful year for St Ives Preparatory School Athletics. At both the IPSHA and CIS Carnivals, St Ives was the leading school as on both points and number of representative athletes, with two boys going on to compete at the School Sport Australia National Championships.
Callum Cheung placed 2nd in U12 200m, 3rd in U12 100m and 2nd in U12 4x100m Relay. Jackson Dyne placed 3rd in U12 High Jump. The Senior Relay team (comprised of Callum Cheung, Jackson Dyne, Rohan Saha and Myles Kapoor) also placed 1st in the NSWPSSA Carnival, with the Junior Relay Team (comprised of Monte Cairns, Archie Cranna, James Lawrance and Angus Windeyer), placing 1st at the CIS Carnival. In total there were 13 boys from St Ives represented at the NSWPSSA carnival, the most out of any independent school in the state.
