The intermediate (U15 and U16) swim team raced their hearts out on Friday night March 23 to win the AAGPS competition for 2018. This is the first time SGS will appear on the trophy since the intermediate competition was started in 2004.
It was very close with Riverview creeping back into the game as the evening progressed. At one point in the evening, SIC were within 20 points; each championship race win is worth 20 points!!
It came down to the final 4x50 freestyle relay results. The U15’s came in behind Riverview and the U16’s hit the wall a mere 2 secs ahead of Riverview to claim the title and a GPS record…. Very exciting!
Well done to the whole squad who trained hard all season.
