The Edgecliff Preparatory School Sailing Club has launched into 2025 with enthusiasm and excitement!
In the first session, our Year 5 and 6 boys new to sailing embraced the basics, learning how to rig a boat, identify its parts, and understand wind direction. Meanwhile, the more experienced sailors sharpened their skills, practicing figure-of-eight manoeuvres with precision and control.
The second session brought an extra thrill as we were fortunate to witness some SailGP practice races, including the impressive foiling WASZPs. Watching these high-performance boats glide effortlessly across the water inspired our young sailors to harness the wind and strive for speed.
It’s been an incredible start, and we’re excited to see the boys continue to grow in confidence and skill throughout the season!
