Scientia Professor Michelle Simmons (2018 Australian of the Year, Director of the Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology, and Sydney Grammar School Trustee) was the guest speaker at the College Street Speech Day on 6 December 2018.
Professor Simmons spoke about how each new discovery extends our accumulated knowledge but in fact is still just scratching at the edges of the much vaster reaches of human uncertainty. She asked, ‘Does the way we look at things matter?’ Her answer is well worth hearing.
