The pupils from both schools showcased their best music at their concert on Sunday afternoon.
From 28 March to 30 March the combined String Ensemble, comprising Edgecliff boys and Ascham girls, travelled to Chowder Bay for their annual weekend music camp. They bushwalked from Taronga Zoo to Clifton Gardens, enjoying the beautiful scenery before starting their rehearsals. The Grammar/Ascham pupils threw themselves straight into music, with an evening rehearsal before some social time on Friday evening. On Saturday they enjoyed some beach time, making the most of the beautiful setting and getting creative with kite making between more rehearsals in preparation for their Sunday concert. A huge 'thank you' to Mr. Parry for conducting the ensemble so wonderfully; the Grammar/Ascham pupils made exceptional progress between Friday evening and Sunday afternoon under the guide of his experienced baton.
