Mr Stuart McPherson will become the 13th Headmaster of Sydney Grammar School on 1 January 2026.
An Australian, Stuart was educated at the University of Western Australia and Newcastle University (UK). He taught at Sydney Grammar School from 1990 to 2000. Stuart returns to us after a distinguished career in the United Kingdom. He taught at Eton College from 2000 to 2015 where he was a Housemaster for five years. He was then appointed Headmaster of Worth School in Sussex, known for his inspiring leadership and strong, values-led education. Stuart has four adult children and his wife, Johneen has served as Headmistress of St Catherine’s School in Twickenham, London since 2018. We welcome them to Sydney Grammar School.
Stuart is looking forward to building on all that Dr Richard Malpass, and Headmasters before him, have done for Sydney Grammar School.
