Year 6 boy, Monte Cairns, represented the NSW Combined Independent Schools (CIS) Sports Council at the NSW Primary Schools Sports Association AFL Championships held in Polding, Byron Bay in early May.
After a challenging pool stage, the CIS team progressed to the finals to finish third in what was a tough week of wet weather and competition.
At the conclusion of the competition, Monte, who also plays with the Sydney Swans Academy, was named in the NSW team of 23 boys (from a possible 283). Well done, Monte! We look forward to watching your progression in years to come.
