The inaugural Matthew Peacock Prize for Investigative Journalism was established to inspire a new generation to embrace Matthew Peacock’s passion for investigative journalism and develop the skills he demonstrated throughout his distinguished career.
Boys from Forms III and IV completed original investigative projects on contemporary issues, presenting their findings through a written paper, an oral presentation and viva voce questioning. Their work was assessed by an esteemed judging panel comprising Australian journalist Annabel Crabb, Dr Cove and Mr Chiba. The prize was made possible through the generous support of Matthew’s friends and fellow Old Sydneians from the Class of 1969.
