During Term 3, Year 2 have been busy planning and constructing a Games Arcade, made predominantly from cardboard and recycled materials. This work formed part of the Science topic of ‘Push and Pull’, culminating one Friday when their Games Arcade opened for business!
Working in small groups, the boys were amazing as they worked collaboratively to solve the design issues they encountered along the way. The boys were also responsible for promoting their games through colourful signs and engaging advertisements. Prizes and various other forms of enticements were most certainly present and a great drawcard.
The event was a huge success from both a learning and enjoyment perspective – the video speaks volumes!
