On Sunday 27 July, the 'Ionisation' Percussion Ensemble, led by Mr Iain Scotland, competed at the annual NSW Percussion Eisteddfod, hosted at College Street.
The ensemble competed in the C-Grade Ensembles category against mixed-age groups from around Sydney, including those from College Street and St Ives. We are absolutely delighted that Ionisation were one of three ensembles to receive a Gold Award for their category.
The adjudicator congratulated the ensemble on ‘an engaging performance’ with ‘great transitions’. Well done, boys! We are very proud of your hard work, and having it recognised with a Gold Award at this prestigious event.
Our sincerest appreciation also goes to Mr Scotland for his never-ending support and leadership of the Ionistion percussion ensemble.
