On Saturday 12 June, Dr V’s Swing Thing – the School’s Old Boy jazz ensemble – put on a spectacular show of contemporary jazz at the Orange Jazz Festival.
The gig was the band’s first under the direction of legendary conductor/saxophonist Mr David Theak (pictured below). A large audience gathered in the Royal Hotel to hear the band work their way through some cutting-edge jazz compositions. Mr Khusid would have been proud!
