Two outstanding students, Alexander He (Year 4) and Harvey Chan (Year 6), have made their mark in the prestigious New South Wales "WriteOn" Competition for 2025, a celebration of imaginative writing and literary excellence among young learners.
Both boys were honoured at a special ceremony attended by the CEO of the NSW Education Standards Authority and the Deputy Secretary of Education—an inspiring recognition of their creative achievements.
Alexander was awarded Gold in his division for a captivating story that imagined aliens guiding the course of human life, blending science fiction with philosophical depth. His work stood out for its originality and thought-provoking narrative.
Harvey earned Silver for his surreal and poetic piece exploring the fluidity of time and place, a story that challenged conventional storytelling and showcased his unique voice and vision.
Their success is a testament to the power of imagination and the importance of nurturing young writers.
Congratulations to Alexander and Harvey for their remarkable accomplishments and for representing the School and community with such distinction!
